Lawrence Paul Niblock (Larry) 80, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2021 surrounded by his family. His health was challenging in the last couple of years. Through the difficulties and pain, he courageously faced each day with optimism, that he would get better. Born January 22, 1941 in St. Louis, Missouri to Edward and Ernestine Niblock. The family moved to California when he was a teenager. Lawrence joined the United States Army after graduating High School. After his service in the military, he worked his way through college, graduating from California State University Long Beach in 1971. He worked for Metropolitan Water District until moving to Victorville in 1978 to open his own business. He and his wife successfully owned and operated “The Furniture Store” for 10 years, while raising their children. After closing the business he went to work for San Bernardino County JTPA retiring in 2006. A longtime Angels fan, he enjoyed watching their games, rarely missing one. When they finally won the World Series he was thrilled. He also loved to golf and played as often as he could. After retiring he enjoyed trips to Laughlin and Las Vegas. He enjoyed family gatherings and time with the grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents and his sister Barbara Humphrey. Lawrence is survived by his wife Mary, daughter Erin Wikert, son Paul Niblock, grandchildren Briana and Bradley Wikert, Ashley Cunningham, brother Gerald Niblock (Linda) and sister Nicole Pitrowski (Steve), and many nieces, nephews and friends.
