Jerry Lee Streeter

June 18, 1949 - January 12, 2020

Mr. Jerry Lee Streeter was born June 18, 1949 to J.D. & Sylvia Streeter in Greenwood, Mississippi. Jerry graduated from Amanda Elzy High School in Greenwood, MS and continued his education at Mississippi Valley State University until he was drafted into the United States Army in March of 1969. Jerry served in the Vietnam War receiving and Honorable Discharge in March of 1975. After being discharged from service in 1975, Jerry moved to California where he met his devoted wife of 44 years, La Nora Noyes. Shortly after, Jerry started his career with Russell & Miller Retail Suppliers in Santa Fe Springs, California and retired after 20 years of service. Jerry Loved his family, especially his grandchildren and assigned carefully crafted nicknames for each one: “Banana Head, Boobie, My little fat Neva, Ike, NuNu, Big Head & Pookie Fat.” These names connected each grandchild exclusively to him. His hobbies were collecting magazines and sports memorabilia. Jerry was a true sports fan, basketball, football & boxing being his favorite sports. His favorite athlete was Muhammad Ali. Jerry Lee Streeter departed this life on January 12, 2020 at the age of 70 years old and preceded in death by his parents and only brother, Willie Marshall Streeter. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and Loved him. He leaves to cherish his memory: His wife of 44 years La Nora Noyes; Step-daughters, Renee Edwards & Deniece Williams; Son-in-law, Todd M. Edwards Sr; Grandchildren, Dwayne Williams, Ernest E. Hicks, John & Geneiva Dunbar, Tara, Todd Jr & Tiffany Edwards; Great-grandchildren Harmony & Jeremiah Hicks and TJ Edwards; Sister-in-law, Demetrus Wiggles; Nieces, Candace & Ashley Wiggles and Nephew Joshua Streeter. Romans 8:35-39 Who will separate us from the love of Christ? Will hardship, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
