Edward Wallace Holden
May 6, 1939 - November 3, 2021
Edward Wallace Holden was born at the Fort Francis E. Warren Air Force Base hospital in Wyoming, May 6, 1939. He was an honorable man who loved His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ first and foremost, striving each day towards that day when he would hear his Savior say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” Ed left his earthly home on November 3, 2021, after he had “fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith”. Ed was a faithful and loving husband to two wives, Barbara from 1957 until her death in 1997 and Fawn from 1999 until his death. He liked to say that he’d been married more than 60 years. Ed was a journeyman electrician who loved going to work every day. He retired from Cal Poly Pomona in 2010. In addition to his faith and family Ed had a passion for many subjects but a highlight that gave him great joy was music. He had a beautiful deep bass voice that he loved to share through singing in his church choir and duets with his daughter Wendy and singing church solo’s, especially the song Victory in Jesus. Ed loved and was greatly loved by his family. He is survived by his wife, Fawn Holden, daughters Pamela Durboraw and Wendy Schale, stepdaughters Jennifer Scott, Candice Keel and Mickole Boesch, 25 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter, brothers Allen, William, Dick, and Don and sister Irene Kennedy. He was preceded in death by son Matthew, daughter Amy Holden, sister Francis Theodorsen and brother Robert.
