Earle "Robbie" Hughton
February 14, 1957 - April 16, 2017
Earle “Robbie” Hughton, born February 14th, 1957 in Apple Valley, CA, passed away peacefully at home with family on April 16, 2017. A lifelong resident of the high desert, he graduated from VVHS in 1975. He worked for 40 years as a maintenance mechanic at the Cemex (formerly Southwest Portland) cement plant. He was an active member and coach of the Hesperia youth soccer league as well as a dedicated San Diego Chargers and L.A. Lakers fan. Robbie was an avid deep sea fisherman and thoroughly enjoyed his backyard garden and attending classic car shows. He was always looking for a bargain at the weekly Victor Valley College farmer’s market, which he attended with his mother, Pearl, as well as at the Victorville Swap Meet. He is survived by his High-School Sweetheart and wife of 42 years, Jade, sons Chad and Kyle (and his wife, Kristy), sister Penny (and husband, John Ford), his mother, Pearl, 5 nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in his death by father and namesake, Earle Hughton and sister, Candy Hughton. Jade invites friends to attend a celebration of Robbie’s life at the Victorville United Methodist Church, 15150 La Paz Drive on Saturday, 22nd of April at 11am, with viewing starting at 10am. Burial will follow at Victor Valley Memorial Park.
