Mrs. Annie Griego Herrera

July 23, 1939 - January 2, 2021

Annie Griego Herrera, 81, was born in New Mexico to her parents Jose and Rufina Griego and passed away in her home in Oro Grande on Jan. 2 due to natural causes. Annie went peacefully and was surrounded by her loving family. Annie worked in housekeeping for many years at Victor Valley Global Medical Center and everyone who knew her loved her. Annie is survived by her brothers Abdon Herrera and his wife Judy of Washington, Leo Griego of Buena Park, and Johnny Griego and his wife Cathy of Apple Valley; her sister Betty Risken of Oro Grande; her sons Lawrence Herrera and his wife Lucy of Oro Grande, Ronnie Herrera of Oro Grande and Steven Herrera and his wife Cynthia of Hesperia; her daughters Anabel Gamez of Oro Grande, Rachel Sarabia and her husband Gilbert of Victorville, and Shirley Felix and her husband Jimmy of Victorville. Annie was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who she loved and adored. Annie was preceded in death by her husband Augustine Herrera, parents Jose and Rufina Griego, brothers Filimon, David, Raymond and Freddy Griego, her sister Rosemary Quintanar and her grandson Jimmy Felix. Annie was a “speak your mind” kind of woman who never held back. She was loved by all and will truly be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will take place at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church at 15512 6th Street in Victorville on Wednesday, Jan. 27. A viewing will be held at 10 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 10:30 a.m. and Mass at 11 a.m., with a graveside service to follow.
